First Trailer For Tarsem Singh’s MIRROR MIRROR

One thing you can honestly say is Tarsem Singh is  he’s different, commend his approach to films but sadly let down by a lack lustre plot proving  that stunning visuals wont get you five star critical acclaim in return. In a week we’ve had 1 one impressive Snow White inspired film trailer in the shape of Snow White And The Huntsman Singh releases the first trailer for his colourful Mirror Mirror.

Mirror Mirror is a complete different kettle of fish compared to Snow White And The Huntsman which is a darker action laden flick, Mirror Mirror is for the kids with a big dolloping of slapstick humour but with a odd ‘scarface’ reference. This looks as painful as the Hammer King Hyperion used on traitors to make the traitor’s crown jewels would n’t been functioning, minimal vibrant  look but still visually fantastic I’m already picturing what the review’s opening line is going to be if you need a hint read Harry’s Immortals review. I really want to like this, but Im finding it hard to actually be positive about it as this looks like Singh’s weakest creation, it looks that bad I wonder if Adam Sandler wrote this!

Mirror Mirror centre’s around the story of Snow White(Lily Collins) attempting to reclaim her birthright from evil queen (Julia Roberts). The panto season is about to start soon in UK&Ireland with the build up Christmas slowly kicking off and frankly Mirror Mirror feels like one of those bad acted pantos, that are cheesy, slapstick, embarrassing but the kids love them! Maybe I’m been a little unfair fair enough it is first trailer plus maybe it wasn’t the best week to release the trailer after the positive vibe from Snow And The Huntsman, love to know what you think of this one?

Mirror Mirror is due to be unleashed March/April 2012  and also stars Armie Hammer, Nathan Lane, Martin Klebba, Danny Woodburn, Sebastian Saraceno, Ronald Lee Clark
