First Look Image For Lee Cronin’s Evil Dead Rise

The Deadites are coming next April as Studiocanal release the first official first look image for Evil Dead Rise!

We’ve known for a while The Hole In The Ground director Lee Cronin was directing the fifth instalment. Very little news apart from it was coming next year. Now we have a creepy Halloween promo which we don’t want them to turn up on our door step ‘trick ‘or’ treating‘.

The image shows a female deadite, blood soaked smiling via a door peephole… ‘Trick or Treat, Deadites!’

The actual details are still a bit of a mystery apart from a long overdue reunion of sisters.  However thanks to mysterious events they come into the possession of the Necronomicon, cue the chaos…

Moving the action out of the woods and into the city, EVIL DEAD RISE tells the twisted tale of two estranged sisters, played by Sutherland and Sullivan, whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable.

The film stars Gabrielle Echols, Nell Fisher, Lilly Sullivan, Morgan Davies, and Alyssa Sutherland. Evil Dead’s ‘groovy’ legend Bruce Campbell is onboard, only in a producers capacity. He is joined by franchise creator Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi.

Evil Dead Rise will be released in UK and Ireland on 21st April 2023 by Studiocanal. It will be released the same day in the U.S by New Line Cinema/ Warner Bros Pictures.
