Featurette on The Cinematography Of TRUE GRIT
The great thing not been based in USA is when it comes to the majority of the big blockbusters that are coming out when America sees the movies first givies you the idea what to expect in a simply does the movie live up to its big blockbuster build up its getting. In the case of The Coen Brothers remake of TRUE GRIT I think we can see from the publicity and of course the Oscar Nominations (along with the awards already won) we are in for a treat here!With the Oscars only a few weeks away the studio’s are doing there part to make sure the most important people to winning the lucrative trophy know your film is the one they should choose. So what we’re getting is a series of new trailers, tv spots and featurettes/promo reels and THR have got their hands on a new Featurette that looks at the cinematography of TRUE GRIT. The movies cinematography has been done by Roger Deakin and looking at the evidence in the video below I think we can say he deserves it . The saying third time lucky in Deakin’s case should be Ninth time lucky as he has received an nomination for his excellent work finger’s cross he gets the credit duely deserved to him on 27th February.
TRUE GRIT will be out February 11th
Synopsis: Fourteen-year-old Mattie Ross’s (Hailee Steinfeld) father has been shot in cold blood by the coward Tom Chaney (Josh Brolin), and she is determined to bring him to justice. Enlisting the help of a trigger-happy, drunken U.S. Marshal, Rooster Cogburn (Jeff Bridges), she sets out with him — over his objections — to hunt down Chaney. Her father’s blood demands that she pursue the criminal into Indian territory and find him before a Texas Ranger named LeBoeuf (Matt Damon) catches him and brings him back to Texas for the murder of another man.
