Evil Takes Over In Alexandre Aja’s Never Let Go Trailer

Something lurks in the woods in Alexandre Aja‘s post apocalyptic horror Never Let Ago. Ahead of it’s release in Autumn, Lionsgate Films have released the UK Trailer easing evil has taken over.

This has a A Quite Place, Bird Box feel to it. Those films do have more a sci-fi direction, this seems to be more horror or simply psychological. If you’re quick you get a blink you miss tease about 3 quarters of the way through the tease!

Academy award winner Halle Berry leads this small cast. She is a mother who takes her twin sons to a cabin in the woods as evil consumes everything around them. The only true protection is their family bond, things change when one of the boys questions everything pushing for a fight for survival.

This was originally called Mother Land which might tease something about this film. Aja seriously could be considered a master of horror as he’s proven in many many ways, will it continue with Never Let Go? Now what’s with the rope?

In this new psychological thriller/horror, as an Evil takes over the world beyond their front doorstep, the only protection for a mother, played by Academy Award® winner Halle Berry (Actress in a Leading Role, 2001 – Monster’s Ball), and her twin sons is their house and their family’s protective bond. Needing to stay connected at all times – even tethering themselves with ropes – they cling to one another, urging each other to never let go. But when one of the boys questions if the evil is real, the ties that bind them together are severed, triggering a terrifying fight for survival. 

The film also stars Percy Daggs  and Anthony B. Jenkins. Never Let Go will be released by Lionsgate Films on 27th September in UK, Ireland and U.S.A.
