Elijah Wood To Play A Maniac?

We’ve adored him for years as Frodo Baggins in Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, a faithful noble little Hobbit then 2005 a change of direction in Sin City playing Kevin a creepy cannibalistic killer. It now looks Elijah Wood will be going all sinister again in the lead roles as a serial killer in the remake of William Lustig’s 1980’s Horror Maniac. Deadline have confirmed a report earlier reported by Bloody Disgusting that Wood is to play a serial killer who works at a shop selling antique mannequins but he spends nights killing women and decorating them like mannequins. He finds his victims via the internet and killing the women gives him some sort of satisfaction against his abusive mother.

P2 director Franck Khalfoun is directing with Hills Have Eyes/Piranha 3D helmer Alexander Aja co writing with Gregory Lavasseur (The Hills Have Eyes).Loved Wood as Frodo but there’s just something about the actor playing a character who is a loose canyon but another meaningless remake do we really need that, I would n’t be surprised if they end up making it 3D too
