Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow has gained two new cast members.

In an exclusive report by The Hollywood Reporter, it’s been revealed David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham have joined the cast of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow as the titular heroine’s parents.

Krumholtz was last seen in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, while Beecham is best known for roles in Netflix’s 1899 and AMC’s Into the Badlands. Krumholtz took to Instagram to share his excitement over the announcement calling it “a personal triumph”.

They join the previously announced Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon) who will be playing Kara Zor-El, the titular Supergirl and cousin of Superman. Alcock is set to first appear in the role in James Gunn’s Superman which will be released later this year.

Supergirl‘s script, penned by Ana Nogueira, will be inspired by the Tom King and Bilquis Evely Eisner-nominated comic book mini-series of the same name. Eve Ridley was previously cast as Ruthye, a young girl who recruits Supergirl in a quest for revenge against Krem, the man who killed her father. Matthias Schoenaerts has been cast as Krem. Jason Momoa is also set to cameo as the alien bounty hunter Lobo, having previously played Aquaman in DC’s last cinematic universe.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is being directed by Craig Gillespie for Warner Bros. Discovery, and reportedly began shooting this week at Leavesden in the UK.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is currently set to be released 26th July 2026.
