Classic Children’s TV Show Mr Benn To Get 4K Collector’s Edition!

As if by magic, Mr Benn is back! Fabulous Films invite you to this autumn to step back in time and end one of the all time favourite UK children’s TV Shows, Mr Benn. A 4K UHD and Blu-ray premium collector’s edition, featuring all 14 episodes, completely restored from the original 16mm prints.

Written by David McKee, the celebrated creator of storybook favourites Not Now Bernard and Elmer the Patchwork Elephant, and featuring narration by Ray Brooks (Jackanory), MR BENN, first broadcast in 1971 on the BBC, the animation features the titular character visiting a mysterious costume shop and swapping his suit and bowler hat for various outfits, which transport him back in time for fantastical adventures.

The four disc Ultimate Collection contains all the episodes on both 4K UHD and Blu-ray, superbly packaged in a clamshell box with an o-ring and slipcase, an invitation card, a fourteen-panel concertina showing all of Mr Benn’s characters, and a Mr Benn standee, as well as an episode guide booklet, and a reformatted hardback book of Mr Benn 123456789 by McKee, where Mr Benn is transported to prison! This is more than a boxset, this is an invitation to visit Festive Road and to enter the costume shop, to really experience Mr Benn’s world. Adults can step back through the door to this truly memorable moment from childhood, and kids will delight in opening the box and experiencing the costume shop and all its wondrous delights, over and over again.
