New Wild Horse Nine UK Trailer Has Malkovich & Rockwell On A Mission
Men and their friendships, relationships with fellow men are complexed. In Martin McDonagh‘s comedy drama Wild Horse Nine, John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell are men on a mission.

Wild Horse Nine is set back in 1973, 2 CIA Agents (Malkovich and Rockwell) await the ‘go’ to help a coup to overthrow the Chilean president. The job pushes our CIA Agents into their dark pasts and present day conspiracies. The duo are on Easter Island and a couple students threaten to send everyone to flee the island.
We loved The Banshees Of Inishserin, McDonagh’s previous film. A dark, personal film with his latest that dives head first into U.S intervention. Very political but also this looks very funny, plenty effing and jeffing with great chemistry.
This film also stars Steve Buscemi, Mariana di Girolamo, Ailín Salas, with Tom Waits and Parker Posey.
Synopsis | Shortly before the 1973 Chilean coup, CIA agents Chris (John Malkovich) and Lee (Sam Rockwell) are dispatched from Santiago to Easter Island by their bureau chief, MJ (Steve Buscemi). Amongst the Island’s iconic statues, and as the longtime partners wrestle with their dark pasts and present conspiracies, Chris’s newfound bond with a pair of rebellious students (Mariana di Girolamo and Ailín Salas) threatens to send everyone’s trip to this remote paradise sideways.
Wild Horse Nine will be released in UK and Irish cinemas from 4th November. If you can’t wait that long, catch the film at BFI London Film Festival on 9th October.
