Check Out The Trailer For Batman Knightfall Part 2: Knightquest

Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and DC Studios have dropped the trailer for the animated superhero film Batman Knightfall Part 2: Knightquest, the follow-up to Knightfall: Part 1, based on the 1993-1994 comic arc of the same name by Chuck Dixon, Jo Duffy, Alan Grant, Dennis O’Neil, and Doug Moench. The animated sequel will see Anson Mount reprise his voice work as Bruce Wayne, aka The Dark Knight, with Michael Mando, Pablo Schreiber, Jack Griffo, Bruce Boxleitner and Toks Olagundoye also lending their voices.

Batman Knightfall Part 2: Knightquest sees Wayne in recovery from the brutal hands of the villainous Bane, left paralysed and in desperate need of a successor to take on the Batman identity to protect Gotham City from crime. Jean-Paul Valley is keen to fill Wayne’s shoes; however, his approach proves to be a threat to the vigilante’s reputation.

Jeff Wamester directs all three installments with Jeremy Adams credited as writer. The two films are the 21st and 22nd Batman-centred contributions to the DC Universe Animated Original Movies franchise, with a third film, titled Knightsend, set for an early 2027 release.

The first film was released 25th August last year, following a debut at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival, with critics and fans marking it as one of the best Batman films. Jim Krieg and Kimberly S. Moreau produced, with Sam Register and Michael Uslan being credited as executive producers.

 “It’s a Batman film, so it needs to be PG-13. I need to sort of work within those parameters. And we did our first set of storyboards based on that,” producer Rick Morales previously shared with ComicBook.com. “And you know, we show it to the executives, and they were like, ‘oh, you know, we could show a little bit more.’ And I was like, really? So, interestingly, it’s usually me trying to push this stuff and make it as violent and crazy, like a little bit more.”

There is no finalised release date for Batman Knightfall Part 2: Knightquest, but we can anticipate an end-of-year release.
