‘Be Bold’ Watch Third UK Trailer For The Color Purple Musical

You wouldn’t think a a book about struggle such as Alice Walker‘s 1982 book The Color Purple would make a stage musical? Off course Steven Spielberg 1985 film then a Broadway musical in 2005, now that musical will hit the cinema next month. Ahead of that release Warner Bros have released a third UK Trailer, that ask you to be bold!

This is a film about female struggles from a African American female living in the deep south. This is set during the early 20th century, 1900’s and Celie’s Journey (Fantasia Barrino). Abuse not just from her husband but

Since the creation of the book nearly 42 years ago, then the Spielberg film, the stage version. All have nominated and won awards galore, could this latest version continue the trend?

This musical version of The Colour Purple (or The Color Purple), follows the story and struggles of an African American woman (Barrino). Suffering life long abuse from her step father, husband and many others living in the Deep South of America. It’s also a story of the extraordinary sisterhood of three women who share one unbreakable bond and one sister trying to find her identity.

The Color Purple will be released in UK and Irish cinemas from 26th January 2024. Even sooner if you live the other side of the Atlantic Ocean in the U.S, you can see it next Monday 25th December Christmas Day!
