Andrew Garfield Up For More Spider-Man But On One Condition

After he reappeared in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home – and his long game of werewolf with fans across the world – the rumour mill has continued in overdrive about whether Andrew Garfield would return again as his version of the webslinger in the future, particularly now Avengers: Secret Wars is coming.
Well, while at the Middle East Film & Comic Con in Abu Dhabi, the Oscar Nominee was asked about whether he’d be up for a return, and he gave a surprising answer, one that comes with a condition:
“I really love playing Spider-Man. I would love to play the character again in some capacity, but I think it would have to be very weird,” Garfield said during the panel, which ET bel Arabi shared on Instagram. “I think I would want to do something very strange.”
“I would want to do something very unique, and offbeat, and surprising, kind of like the creative freedom that they have with the animated Spider-Verse movies. I think they’re so great and you can honor the character in so many different ways through the multiverse.”
With both Hugh Jackman returning as Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine, as well as recent news that the most of the Fox X-Men cast – namely Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James Marsden, Kelsey Grammar, Rebecca Romijn and Alan Cumming – as well as Channinh Tatum as Gambit, will star in Avengers: Doomsday, now shooting in the UK, stranger things have happened.
