Hot on the heels of last week’s first trailer when we finally met the team that will answer your call. Today we get another new look at Ghostbusters that delivers some ‘eye candy’ for the ladies…
Patty maybe mad wondering if it was a race thing or a lady thing, but showcasing more of Chris Hemsworth in the UK version of the new trailer, half of the world’s population might just be in a dream like state.
Since day one it’s been a bumpy ride for Paul Feig‘s 2016 version of the classic 1980’s cult classic. Not just because some hardcore fans couldn’t accept that it’s a all female group, there’s was much crossing the line for many of them. To many it ruined those childhood/teen memories of many, so when the first trailer arrived it sadly felt a wrath of negativity.
This was only the first trailer and sometimes especially on the big tentpole films like this one is more like ‘announcement’ than tease the details. Some said it lacked the humour especially when you have 4 ladies renowned for making us laugh, if anything it was all on the tone and chemistry. Late last night international versions started to appear and today Sony sent us the UK version which now has a few more laughs but will it be enough to convince you?
The big highlight is Thor himself who will be the Ghostbusters secretary replacing Annie Potts, it seems his comedic chops are on show here. It’s only a few shots but enough to tease his role in the film and he will be riding the bike we saw in a earlier image post. Hopefully Feig uses his comedy experience to bring out more of humour like he did for The Stath in Spy, we might be onto a winner.
Ghostbusters is set for 15th July UK, Ireland and U.S release starring Melissa McCarthy,Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig ,Leslie Jones ,Andy Garcia, Michael Kenneth Williams, Matt Walsh, and Cecily Strong.
