The time to return to Woodsboro is nigh! This afternoon Paramount Pictures tease us all with the First UK Trailer for Scream! Ghostface and many familiar faces returning for this 5th entry, but who and what motive will our resident killer have this time? Whatever it is, it’s always someone you know!

10 years after Scream 4 this film is the sequel and going by the synopsis below is vague. However fans of the franchise will have an fair idea what to expect. What we do know is we’ll follow a woman who heads into Woodsboro investigate a number of brutal murders fappening in the town opening a can of worms.

If your going to release a trailer for Scream you have to open with an homage to that iconic opening scene with Drew Barrymore. This film is an sequel not a reboot even if this trailer might suggest and the title also makes things a little confusing too. Sadly Wes Craven died in 2015, now Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Ready Or Not) directing.

Here’s hoping the promise is a ‘relaunch’

Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past. Neve Campbell (“Sidney Prescott”), Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) and David Arquette (“Dewey Riley”) return to their iconic roles in Scream alongside Melissa Barrera, Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Sonia Ammar.

The cast includes franchise regulars David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Roger L. Jackson, and Marley Shelton. They are joined by newcomers Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Dylan Minnette, Mikey Madison, Sonia Ben Ammar, and Kyle Gallner.

Scream will be released exclusively in UK and Irish cinemas from 14th January 2022.
