Wish Upon A Star Watch Robert Zemeckis Pinocchio Teaser Trailer

This early Autumn we will be wishing upon a star once again as Disney unleash Robert Zemeckis live action version of Pinocchio. Today the house of Mouse tease us all with the first Trailer for latest remake of the classic story.

The magic comes to life again with Tom Hanks as Geppetto, with Benjamin Evan Ainsworth the voice of our titular character. They are joined by Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Jiminy Cricket, Cynthia Erivo is the Blue Fairy; Keegan-Michael Key is “Honest” John;  Lorraine Bracco is Sofia the Seagull, a new character, and Luke Evans is The Coachman. Also in the cast are Kyanne Lamaya as Fabiana (and her marionette Sabina), Giuseppe Battiston as Señor Stromboli and Lewin Lloyd as Lampwick.

The puppet who wanted to be a boy a classic story fans all know, one that’s been remade many times. As we wait for Guillermo Del Toro‘s animated Netflix version, recently we had the Italian remake.  This looks like a like for like live action version of the 1940 animated original. That’s not a negative , some may ask how many more versions can we have?

Academy Award® winner Robert Zemeckis directs this live action retelling of the beloved tale of a wooden puppet who embarks on a thrilling adventure to become a real boy. Tom Hanks stars as Geppetto, the wood carver who builds and treats Pinocchio (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) as if he were his own son. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Jiminy Cricket, who serves as Pinocchio’s guide as well as his “conscience”; Academy Award® nominee Cynthia Erivo is the Blue Fairy; Keegan-Michael Key is “Honest” John; Academy Award® nominee Lorraine Bracco is Sofia the Seagull, a new character, and Luke Evans is The Coachman. Pinocchio will be released on Disney+ on 8th September. This also happens to be Disney+ Day and D23Expo, Disney’s ultimate fan event!
