Whose That Girl? Watch Where The Crawdads Sing UK Trailer

Secrets are buried beneath the surface, but who is that girl in Where The Crawdads sing? Today Sony Pictures Releasing have unveiled the UK Trailer for the upcoming drama thriller starring Daisy Edgar-Jones.
The film is based on the 2018 best-selling book book of the same name from Delia Owen. Produced by Reece Witherspoon‘s production company and Taylor Swift is a big fan of the book, creating a original song for the film!
The book has been described as a love letter to growing up in Deep South, USA according to Witherspoon. The film is set between 1952 and 1969, a young woman Kya raised by herself in marshlands of North Carolina. Her life takes a turn for the worse when she becomes the main suspect in the murder in one of her ex-lovers.
This actually looks not bad, the trailer teases Kya’s early life and her character which is reserved. Like her early life she is alone again, is it me this reminds us a little like Mud?
From the best-selling novel comes a captivating mystery. Where the Crawdads Sing tells the story of Kya, an abandoned girl who raised herself to adulthood in the dangerous marshlands of North Carolina. For years, rumors of the “Marsh Girl” haunted Barkley Cove, isolating the sharp and resilient Kya from her community. Drawn to two young men from town, Kya opens herself to a new and startling world; but when one of them is found dead, she is immediately cast by the community as the main suspect. As the case unfolds, the verdict as to what actually happened becomes increasingly unclear, threatening to reveal the many secrets that lay within the marsh.
The film also stars Taylor John Smith , Harris Dickinson, Michael Hyatt , Sterling Macer, Jr, and David Strathairn along with Olivia Newman (First Match) directing this one.
Where The Crawdads Sing doesn’t have a UK or Irish cinema release date announced just yet. Sony Pictures will be releasing the film in the USA from 15th July.
