Watch Video Tribute To Oscars:The Snubbed 2013

I may as well take this opportunity to apologise for lack of Oscar Nominations coverage simply due to illness that spread like fire through The People’s Movies HQ, thankfully we have a clean bill of health. Nearer the big night we will have some sort of coverage of  85th Annual Academy Awards but we will start the proceedings tonight with this cool little video tribute to the Oscars:The Snubbed 2013.

As you sat there last week waiting for your favourites to be nominated the big players like Lincoln, Les Miserables picked up most if not all nominations we expected them to pick up. 2012 was an extremely strong year  and every year we do expect some big snub however this year the snubs where really BIG! Leonardo Di Caprio was expected to pick up something for Django Unchained, Matthew McConaughey  had a fantastic year with Magic Mike & Killer Joe…nothing.The biggest shock for many was Ben Affleck for Argo  who won best film,  Affleck director at Golden Globes which to many is a precursor to what wins at The Oscars.
