Blue Finch Film Releasing have released the UK Trailer for upcoming indie, To The Stars. The film stars Kara Hayward who was once asked ‘What Bird Are You?’ in Wes Anderson‘s Moonrise Kingdom. This one is a different type of coming of age story, once again set in the 1960’s. She plays a reclusive teen Iris bullied in all parts of her life from home and at school. It’s when the arrival of new girl Maggie who brings her out of shell, however truth unravels about Maggie leaving a shy Iris defend herself and new friend.

An acclaimed and uplifting coming-of-age story from the producers of IT FOLLOWS and MIDNIGHT SPECIAL. In a god-fearing small town in 1960s Oklahoma, reclusive teen Iris (Kara Hayward โ€“ MOONRISE KINGDOM) endures a cruel mother and daily doses of bullying from her classmates. That is until Maggie (Liana Liberato โ€“ IF I STAY) arrived, the charismatic and enigmatic new girl that helps her to come out of her shell. But when the truth about Maggie begins to unravel the community is thrown into a state of panic, leaving Maggie to take drastic measures and inciting Iris to stand up for her friend and herself.

Also starring Liana Liberato, Shea Whigham, Jordana Spiro, Lucas Jade Zumann, Malin Akerman, and Tony Hale.

To The Stars will be released in the UK and Ireland on Digital Download from 1st June.
