Watch Trailer For Shudder Bound Indie Horror Slapface

Where do monsters come from?” Maybe we’ll learn in upcoming indie horror Slapface which is heading to genre streaming service Shudder. With the film premiering next month, the channel has released the official Trailer as a vulnerable boy seeks solace in the darkest dangerous places.

Jerimah Kipp‘s chiller did the film festival rounds last year including Arrow Video FrightFest, GrimmFest. The film won best film audience award at Cinequest Film Festival were the film made it’s premiere.

For this one, we follow a boy who has become a loner after losing his mother. He starts to form a ‘dangerous relationship’  with something living in the woods which maybe a monster. When the pair find a bond he starts to withdraw from life, they embark on primal adventures.

I myself lost my mother in November 2020, understand the boys vulnerability and I’m sure many of you can too.  This looks an intriguing film that might just have a few unexpected twists and turns…

After the death of his mother, Lucas, a loner who lives in a rundown home with his brother Tom, regularly seeks solace in the nearby woods. With his only “friends” being a group of female bullies, he keeps to himself most of the time. But, after a strange encounter with an inhuman monster, Lucas begins to withdraw from others. When the two reach a tentative trust, a bizarre friendship is born, and Lucas is swept up in a series of primal adventures.

The film also stars Mike Manning, Dan Hedaya, Mirabelle Lee, Lukas Hassel, Libe Barer, Bianca D’Ambrosio, and Chiara D’Ambrosio.

Slapface will premiere exclusively on Shudder from 3rd February.
