The big screen and streaming services don’t always release the best films. The reasons for that is a debate for another day, today we get a glimpse of one of those is Lyle Mitchell Corbine Jr’s Wild Indian.

Ahead of it’s release next month in the U.S, Vertical Entertainment have released the film’s Trailer. As dark secrets from a man’s fractured past come back to haunt him.

Michael Greyeyes (Fear The Walking Dead, True Detective) stars as Michael a Anishinaabe man who has moved off his reservation to start a new life with his wife. He’s a man with a dark past who has done unforgiving things, that past comes back to haunt him when another man who knows his secret seeks vengeance.

The film made it’s world premiere at this years virtual Sundance film festival. Corbine Jr won acclaim from the festival as a director to watch for in the future. Showcasing contemporary Indigenous cinema and boy for a debut this is certainly evoking, harrowing with fantastic performances.

Decades after covering up his classmate’s murder, Michael (Michael Greyeyes) has moved on from his reservation and fractured past. When a man who shares his violent secret seeks vengeance, Michael goes to great lengths to protect his new life with his wife (Kate Bosworth) and boss (Jesse Eisenberg) from the demons of his past.

The film also stars Chaske Spencer, Jesse Eisenberg, Kate Bosworth, Lisa Cromarty, and Hilario Garcia III.

Wild Indian will be released in the U.S from 3rd September in select cinemas and Video On Demand. We have no details on who may release this film in the UK and Ireland and when.
