We may not promote short films as much as we love to, here’s one short that should be on your radar. I Am Pilate is the latest from Four8 and their ‘I Am’ series, directed by Femi Oyeniran.

The film is all about an journalist that is sent to the home of former district governor. But his routine obituary fact check reveals an extraordinary secret.

I Am Pilate is the latest new offering in Four8โ€™s โ€œI AMโ€ series, which aims to reintroduce biblical characters in timeless settings, exploring their individual journeys and humanising their experience. In taking enduring stories and remodelling them, the โ€œI AMโ€ films are engaging new pieces of entertainment. I AM PILATE follows a journalist sent to the home of former district governor for an interview, but his routine obituary fact check reveals an extraordinary secret.

Directed by Femi Oyeniran (Adulthood, Kidulthood, Turn Up Charlie), the film features a poignant lead turn by Shaun Scott (The Kingsman, The Bill), with his younger self played by Jamie Kristian. Supporting performances come from a diverse BAME cast including Jazz Lintott (The Intent), Letitia Hector (Venus vs. Mars, Famalam) and newcomer Kayode Akinyemi.

I Am Pilate will be debuting on their YouTube channel on April 5th. The film will also be broadcast on London Live on April 12th, programmed in as the channelโ€™s Easter film.
