Watch The Powerful UK Trailer For The Impossible

When you create a film based around an event of such tragedy like the deadly Tsunami that struck South East Asia 8 years ago your final product has to be something emotionally charged but most of off all very powerful. Tonight we have the UK trailer Juan Antonio Bayona’s The Impossible and on evidence of this new trailer we have something truly powerful, focusing on the human dramatic side of the film. In August we watched the American trailer which was moving stuff however many people did not like the use of the U2 song but thankfully the new trailer uses a score more compelling helping us emotionally connect with this film.
The Impossible is set in 2004 starring Ewan McGregor, Naomi Watts parents to 3 boys who where caught up in devastating Tsunami that struck South East Asia. The family were on Holiday in Thailand and the waves split the family apart taking them on a perilous journey of survival and to reunite once more.
The Impossible is been released by eOne in UK&Ireland on January 2nd 2013 (USA December 21st) and the film also stars Tom Holland.Samuel Joslin, and Oaklee Pendergast.
Maria (Naomi Watts), Henry (Ewan McGregor) and their three sons begin their winter vacation in Thailand, looking forward to a few days in tropical paradise. But on the morning of December 26th, as the family relaxes around the pool after their Christmas festivities the night before, a terrifying roar rises up from the center of the earth. As Maria freezes in fear, a huge wall of black water races across the hotel grounds toward her. Based on a true story, THE IMPOSSIBLE is the unforgettable account of a family caught, with tens of thousands of strangers, in the mayhem of one of the worst natural catastrophes of our time. But the true-life terror is tempered by the unexpected displays of compassion, courage and simple kindness that Maria and her family encounter during the darkest hours of their lives. Both epic and intimate, devastating and uplifting, THE IMPOSSIBLE is a journey to the core of the human heart.
