Tiff 2012 – Watch The Intense American Trailer For The Impossible

After numerous numbers of Spanish trailers the past 12 month’s finally the true English language or American trailer for Juan Antonio Bayona‘s The Impossible. Despite a number of times expecting the English language trailer to follow Summit Entertainment (eOne in UK) have been keeping things quite but for good reasons and the final outcome is moving. The film is heading is heading to Toronto Film Festival next month before its limited release in December (USA) and January here in UK,

The Impossible is set in 2004 starring Ewan McGregor, Naomi Watts parents to 3 boys who where caught up in deadly Tsunami that struck South East Asia. The family were on Holiday in Thailand and the waves split the family apart taking them on a perilous journey of survival.

For what is Bayona’s first English Language directed film the Orphanage director looks to have created something truly special and with the film coming out at the end of the year as well as been a true story The Impossible looks a potential Oscar winner. It’s intense, gripping, emotional, moving and even Damien Rice’s U2 cover ‘One’ does seem to hit the right spots too.

The Impossible is due in UK&Ireland January 4th 2013 (USA December 21st) and also stars Tom Holland.
