Watch The New Trailer For Paolo Sorrentino’s La Grazia
MUBI have released the official UK trailer for La Grazia from acclaimed Italian filmmaker Paolo Sorrentino.
The film is heading to UK cinemas in March and stars Sorrentino regular Tony Servillo who plays outgoing fictional Italian President Mariano De Santis. La Grazia follows De Santis in his final days in power as he stands at a personal crossroads.
Anchored by Servillo’s performance, which won him the Best Actor Award at last year’s Venice Film Festival, it takes us to the heart of one of today’s biggest moral dilemmas, as well as De Santis’ own deep-rooted personal problems. From the trailer, lovers of Italian cinema can expect some signature Sorrentino moments as well as the flourishes of style they expect from him and fellow filmmaker Luca Guadagnino. The prospect of examining what goes thorough the mind of a person in their final days of power is fascinating, especially when they’re faced with choosing between their private life or their political one.

La Grazia will be released in UK and Irish cinemas from March 20th. It also stars Anna Ferzetti, Orlando Cinque, Massimo Venturiello, and Milvia Marigliano.
