Watch The new trailer for Animated Comedy Swapped

Netflix has dropped the trailer for their upcoming animated film, Swapped, by director Nathan Greno, working from a script penned by John Whittington, Christian Magalhaes and Robert Snow. The film stars the voice work of Academy Award-winning Michael B. Jordan, Juno Temple, Tracy Morgan, Cedric the Entertainer, Justina Machado, Ambika Mod, and Lolly Adefope.

Cited as a “buddy comedy”, Swapped will centre on “a small woodland creature and a majestic bird — natural sworn enemies of The Valley — who suddenly swap bodies and must team up (while walking in each other’s feathers and fur) to survive the wildest adventure of their lives.”

This will follow in a line of animated films platformed on Netflix, such as the Oscar-winning KPop Demon Hunters by  Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, The Midnight Gospel by Duncan Trussell and Pendleton Ward, and Over the Moon by John Kahrs and Glen Keane.

The film’s producers are credited as John Lasseter, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Bluesky’s Mary Ellen Bauder Andrews. Disney’s Wreck-it-Ralph editor Tim Mertens is also credited as editor.  Netflix will handle distribution after taking over the rights from the original holders and intended streaming provider, Apple TV.

Swapped will premiere on Netflix on 1st May.
