People will do anything for an opportunity, just make sure you don’t get duped. This summer, Sian Clifford will try anything to dupe you. For now, watch the first trailer for Lady.

The film marks filmmaker Samuel Abrahams’ directorial feature debut. Until now, he’s directed a numberof short films and TV series as the producer and even cinematographer. The film debuted back at theย BFI London Film Festival to strong critical acclaim; now it’s time for the cinematic release.

Lady stars Sian Clifford, Laurie Kynaston and Juliet Brown. The film centres around a lonely, self-centred aristocrat who hoodwinks a struggling filmmaker into filming her. Things take a drastic turn when she starts to feel invisible.

Synopsis:

LADY is an off-beat comedy about a lonely, narcissistic aristocrat who dupes a struggling, opportunistic director into filming her every move. But her obsession with the spotlight takes a surreal turn when she starts becomingโ€ฆ invisible. Blending mockumentary and magical realism, LADY satirises our desperate need to feel seen.

LADYโ€™s screenplay is by Samuel Abrahams and Miranda Campbell Bowling. Producers are Stewart le Marรฉchal and Anna Mohr-Pietsch for MetFilm Production (LAST BREATH, SWIMMING WITH MEN, 23 WALKS, THE REASON I JUMP), sister company to MetFilm Distribution.
