Chase Infiniti stars in coming of age series that takes us back to Gilead
The return to Gilead is close and today Disney+ tease the return with official Trailer for The Testaments.
The dystopian sci-fi drama series promise to deliver a new chapter to The Handmaid’s Tale franchise. The original series showrunner Bruce Miller steps in as showrunner based off Margaret Atwood‘s classic book. What we see in this trailer it suggests the new show will be dark, twisted and demands you obedience.
The Testaments stars Chase Infiniti (One Battle After Another) as Agnes, a student at the preparatory school in Gilead. Raising a new generation of obedient women, however Agnes has other plns.
The rest of the cast for this series include Ann Dowd, Lucy Halliday, Mabel Li, Amy Seimetz, Brad Alexander, Rowan Blanchard, Mattea Conforti, Zarrin Darnell-Martin, Eva Foote, Isolde Ardies, Shechinah Mpumlwana, Birva Pandya and Kira Guloien.
Synopsis | An evolution of “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “The Testaments” is based on Margaret Atwood’s novel of the same name and is a dramatic coming-of-age story set in Gilead. The series follows young teens Agnes, dutiful and pious, and Daisy, a new arrival and convert from beyond Gilead’s borders. As they navigate the gilded halls of Aunt Lydia’s elite preparatory school for future wives, a place where obedience is instilled brutally and always with divine justification, their bond becomes the catalyst that will upend their past, their present, and their future.
The Testaments premieres 8th April with three episodes on Disney+ in the UK, with new episodes weekly.
