Watch The Emotive Animated Dystopian Short ‘Mom’

MOM

If you’ve ever had any doubts in the quality of short films, this is perfect to find out how good they are. Kajika Aki Ferrazzini‘s striking animated short ‘Mom‘ is a perfect place to kick-off your journey. It also seems the filmmaker herself has justed her journey into film making.

The French basedย  director’s latest film is gorgeous and one with a lot of emotion. In ‘Mom‘ we find ourselves in a ‘dystopian future. A young girl finds herself running for her life whilst camera watch her every move.

It’s a story about love, hope and violence. . And it’s premise is not one of originality and the director admits that, with The Hunger Games a big inspiration. Her own distinctive style is very much a trademark style of the school she went to, Parisian school Gobelins.

Let’s just say we can’t use the excuse, we don’t have anytime to watch this. We have plenty of time, plus it’s only 9 minutes of your time. We’re not going anywhere until the lockdown has eased off…

Set in a dystopic world, a young girl runs for her life while cameras broadcast the action. A violent and tender declaration of love to memories that allow us to love unconditionally, and to dream and hope.
