Watch The Cringey Ladies First Trailer Starring Sacha Baron Cohen
After several years out of comedy, next month Sacha Baron Cohen returns to comedy. Today Netflix unveil the official Trailer for Ladies First and all we can say it’s cringeworthy.
Let’s get one thing straight, we’re not the biggest fans of the British actor’s brand of humour. Borat had it’s moment, but like many things, the joke played well past it’s sell buy date. Whatever you think of Baron Cohen this trailer will rile some folks up the wrong path. Nothing unusual these days, some folks will love it others will loathe it.
Ladies First also stars Rosamund Pike, Charles Dance, Emily Mortimer, Tom Davis, Weruche Opia, Bill Paterson, Richard E. Grant and Fiona Shaw. Directed by Thea Sharrock, we follow Damien (Cohen) a pompous ladies man who awakes up in a world dominated by women.
This is the ‘man’s world’ reversed, do the jokes land? nope. This looks like another take on What Women want starring Mel Gibson, will this be better or worse?
Synopsis | A ladies man finds his life upended when he wakes up in a parallel world dominated by women. With the rules of engagement changed, he goes head-to-head with a fiery female colleague in a playful satire about what happens when the script is flipped.
Ladies First will launches on Netflix on 22nd May.
