To celebrate that release 20th Century Fox Pictures has released the movies ‘Logan Noir‘ trailer which gives the movie another dimension. Making Hugh Jackman‘s ‘swan song’ more sombre, grounded and beautifully emotive. Now Johnny Cash‘s haunting Nine Inch Nail’s cover of ‘Hurt’ sounds even better, check out the trailer…
When things become monochromatic those movies pick up a lot of hipster points. But if you witnessed the movie when it was originally released you know the movie was something truly special and a fitting ending to a popular X-men. We’ve been teased with the noir version of Logan since the marketing for the cinematic release and now it’s coming with the home release. This version now connects the black and white image we saw during the cinema promotion (see above). If you were fortunate last night in U.S via the Alamo Drafthouse cinema chain fans had a chance to see Logan Noir on the big screen. We don’t yet if there will be a limited release in UK cinemas, however, the success of the movie we won’t be surprised.
In Logan James Mangold brings a visceral and gritty realism to the story, based on one of Marvel Comics’ most popular characters. In the near future, a weary Logan (Hugh Jackman) cares for an ailing Professor X (Patrick Stewart) in a hideout on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are upended when a young mutant (Dafne Keen) arrives, being pursued by dark forces.
As mentioned earlier, in addition to the version seen in cinemas, the 4K Ultra HD™ and Blu-ray™ will contain that slick monochrome version entitled Logan Noir, giving the acclaimed story an all-new look. Special features also include nearly 90 minutes of original content, comprising deleted scenes and a behind-the-scenes documentary to immerse fans into the process of bringing Logan’s final ride to life.
