Watch François Ozon’s Deeply Personal Everything Went Fine UK Trailer

There’s nothing more rewarding and emotional than a powerful family story and François Ozon’s Everything Went Fine promises that story. Ahead of it’s release in cinemas next month, Curzon Artificial Eye have released the UK Trailer.
The film stars Sophie Marceau (Braveheart, The World is not Enough, Beyond the Clouds) and Andre Dussollier (Colonel Chabert, Tell No One, Un Cœur en Hiver) along with Charlotte Ramping And Geraldine Pailhas. The film made it’s world premiere at Cannes Film Festival last year and after a year of touring the festival circuit, it’s time for it’s official release.
Ozon’s moving, deeply personal drama Everything Went Fine is based on a memoir by his late writing partner Emmanuèle Bernheim. A story of an elderly man who suffers a stroke and asks his daughter to help him end his life.
When it comes to a loved one in distress and pain, it’s heart-breaking to witness. We’ll never truly feel the full extent of that pain, we want to help but law prevents us doing what is the best.
When the elderly André (André Dussollier) suffers a debilitating stroke, he asks his daughter Emmanuèle (Sophie Marceau) to help end his life. She gradually comes to accept his request, but the impact on her and her loved ones brings out all the heartbreak and resentment in a family where André has never been the most loving or lovable father. A poignant reflection on a lifetime filled with tension, laughter, guilt and, ultimately, love.
Everything Went Fine will be released in UK and Irish Cinemas as well as Curzon Home Cinema from 17th June.
