9 Days and counting until we all get ‘cyber excited’ for the arrival of Ghost In The Shell live action version of the classic 1995 anime. So far we can say, Rupert Sanders movie looks will be a visual treat and with everything else crossed it will be a critical success too.
Be it positive or negative reasons many fans will be eager to see what the movie will deliver with many hardcore fans curious to know how faithful Sanders will be to the original source. Today Paramount Pictures has shared several more promos for the upcoming movie with the highlight been the first clip. The first clip also happens to be the movie’s first five minutes and a scene very familiar to fans…
In the next clip ‘Water Fight‘, will be another famous scene hardcore fans will clearly recognise in which Major (Scarlett Johansson) is cloaked stalking her assailant before a fight breaks loose.
In the final promo ‘Major’s Apartment‘ we go behind the scenes in this featurette which has a look at her sleeping quarters. The movie’s artistic director Richard Johnson takes us on a brief tour around those quarters which also has memorable scenes from the animated version.
The movie has its detractors, many of kneejerk reactions. We won’t agree or disagree with their reasons but we do understand those frustrations and anger. Do they judge too quickly? Yes, but that sometimes that’s human nature but if you really ant to judge you’ll be free to judge these clips. We won’t judge until we see the movie in its entirety.
In the near future, Major (Scarlett Johansson) is the first of her kind: A human saved from a terrible crash, who is cyber-enhanced to be a perfect soldier devoted to stopping the world’s most dangerous criminals. When terrorism reaches a new level that includes the ability to hack into people’s minds and control them, Major is uniquely qualified to stop it. As she prepares to face a new enemy, Major discovers that she has been lied to: her life was not saved, it was stolen. She will stop at nothing to recover her past, find out who did this to her and stop them before they do it to others. Based on the internationally acclaimed Japanese Manga, The Ghost in the Shell.
