W-O-R-D-S Spells Jason Bateman’s Bad Words Red Band Trailer
Jason Bateman continues the popular trend of established actors becoming directors with his debut feature Bad Words see the actor take the familiar comedic route with some funny foul mouthed results!
Taking the acting to directing route is not for everyone nor does it say you’ll be success as for Mr Bateman keeping that comfortable direction of the genre your known for does look might be successful. In Bad Words it’s no more mr nice guy for Bateman as he plays 40 year old Guy Trilby a potty mouthed man who cons his way into a spelling bee exploiting a loophole which sees him make hell for the 8th grade school kids he’ll compete against!
No surprise this ones a red band trailer when you here the amount of f-bombs that will be dropped plus the insults he lets fly too. Will Bad Words win Jason Bateman anymore new fans possibly but if he does those fans will expect more films like this which could alienate his hardcore, its a catch 22 situation for all. We do enjoy actors slightly coming out of their comfort zones trying something a little different a little more riskier, it seems he had a ball making this as playing Trilby when he gets to play childish pranks with his new Chaitainya Chopa (Rohan Chand). Film got a good feedback from fans at its World premier back in September at Toronto but are your ready for Bateman to drop more f-bombs than you could possibly count?
Bad Words doesn’t have a confirmed UK release date but expect it sometime 2014 with USA release been March 2014.
