Violet McGraw joins Curry Barker's latest horror

An exclusive Deadline report has confirmed director Curry Barker has added M3GAN star Violet McGraw to his growing cast of the upcoming horror film Anything But Ghosts. The film is also set to star Aaron PaulBryce Dallas Howard and Cooper Tomlinson.

Anything But Ghosts focuses on two conmen posing as paranormal investigators who stumble upon a supernatural case which is far from fraudulent.

Jason Blum, Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Adam Hendricks and Greg Gilreath share production credits on the film, with Barker serving as executive producer alongside Tomlinson and Ben Ross.

Barker is due to release his horror Obsession, starring Michael Johnston, Indie Navarrette Tomlinson, Megan Lawless and Andy Richter. The film centres on Johnston’s Bear, who is desperately in love with his co-worker, Navarrette’s Nikki, and makes a wish on a supernatural toy to have her reciprocate his feelings. However, the wish turns sour once Nikki’s feelings for Bear grow into a dark, extreme obsession.

The filmmaker also released his feature debut, Milk and Serialin 2024, with his collaborator Tomlinson, playing fictionalised versions of themselves as a comedy duo who take a pranking game too far.

Meanwhile, McGraw also has acting credits on The Shining sequel, Doctor Sleep, as well as Marvel’s Black Widow and the horror film M3GAN and its sequel, M3GAN 2.0. The actor is also well known for her work in Mike Flanagan‘s smash hit supernatural horror series, The Haunting of Hill House, based on the Shirley Jackson book of the same title.

Obsession opens in UK cinemas on May 15th.
