Video Interview – Russell Steinberg (Laguna Avenue)

Out now on Arrow Player is David Buchanan‘s indie sci-fi comedy Laguna Ave. At the end of last month Shane A.Bassett had a chat with Felixe De Becker, today it’s the film male lead. Shane caught up with Russell Steinberg, who was freshly shaven in conversation from his car in New York on the making of the film, his career and working with the one and  only Miley Cyrus.

Russell, a burned-out television editor and middle-aged slacker with a prosthetic hand futilely searches for work in Hollywood’s brutal, exploitative underbelly. His former boss owes him money, his partner Rita is always out of town and inaccessible, and his new downstairs neighbor, Gary keeps him awake at night with mysterious, disturbing noises. But everything changes one evening when Gary pays Russell a visit introducing him to a sinister world of an accelerationist conspiracy.

The film also stars Felixe De Becker, James Markham Hall Jr, Stephanie Brait, Sheridan Ward, Dan Crane, Zachary Taylor, Jane Reardon, Jeff Hilliard, Paul Papadeas and Carlos Marentes.
