Untitled Charlie Brooker Crime Series Starts Production
Netflix Bound Series set to star Paddy Considine, Georgina Campbell and Lena Headey
Today, Netflix announced a new Charlie Brooker project: a four-part detective series that is now in production.
The untitled detective series cast will include House Of Dragon star Paddy Considine. Along with Barbarian’s Georgina Campbell and The Game Of Thrones star Lena Headey.
The streamer have unveiled the series logline, which calls this as “a profoundly serious, stunningly original crime thriller in which a tormented detective from the Northern city of Bleakford ventures down to London on a mission to catch a ritualistic serial killer before they run out of people to kill. Contains blood and frowning“.
Charlie Brooker says: “I’m beyond thrilled to be saying these words for the press release. I’ve dreamt of providing a quote ever since I was a young foetus, and now here I am doing it. I’d pinch myself, but like all of us, I’m terrified that if I do that, I might wake up and discover 2025 has all been a magical dream. Please watch my show. I am begging you.”
This detective series won’t Brooker‘s first venture into the crime genre series. Back in 2011 he gave us the comedy cop drama A Touch Of Cloth which starred John Hannah. There is no word that this new project will be comedic , however ‘profoundly series’ might be a bit tongue and cheek .
It’s early days for this and over the next few weeks and months we’ll get the show title. and who are the cast members.
