Tom Holland Is Nathan Drake! Watch Uncharted First Trailer

After years of disappointing or above average gaming film adaptations, can gaming fans finally get the true adaptation they true deserve? Could it be Uncharted? After of years of trying, today we took a massive step towards the film’s release when Sony Pictures release the first official UK Trailer.

Tom Holland is our Nathan Drake and this new promo will look very familiar to fans of the popular Playstation game, hopefully bring you a smile. All we need is to finally get a critically acclaimed reviewed film to have that perfect gaming film adaptation.

Holland is joined by Mark Wahlberg faithful sidekick mentor Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan. The film will follow a young Drake during his early pre-game era in what is being called his first adventure. Essentially this is an origins’ story.

After being in production and development hell since 2017, it’s just good to see some footage. How good and loyal to the game, it’s hard to say at this stage. You wonder if Sony are hoping this will become a long-running franchise and a reason for choosing Holland as Drake. It’s a good move as he will finally become Drake’s age plus also being Peter Parker will help too. It’s looking promising, roll on February…

Based on one of the best-selling, most critically acclaimed video game series of all time, Uncharted introduces audiences to the young street-smart Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and showcases his first treasure hunting adventure with wisecracking partner Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg). In an action-adventure epic that spans the globe, the two go in dangerous pursuit of “the greatest treasure never found” while also tracking clues that may lead to Nathan’s long-lost brother

The film also stars Sophia Ali, Tati Gabrielle and Antonio Banderas. Uncharted will arrive in UK, and Irish cinemas from 11th February 2022 (18th February in the U.S.).
