Things Get ‘Gross’ In Yeon Sang-Ho’s Colony UK Trailer
We’ve known since Cannes it’s coming and next month, Studiocanal will release Colony. Today they unleash the first UK ‘gross’ Trailer for Korean zombie thriller.
In 2016 Yeon Sang-Ho gave new life to the zombie sub genre with Train To Busan. 10 years later he’s back, can he reinvigorate things again?
Colony takes us from the claustrophobic confines of a Train to a high rise building. We follow a group of survivors trapped in the building, when a fast mutating virus transforms people in zombies that adapt rapidly.
If we where to go by the early reviews, the response is mixed. The horror genre has a hardcore fanbase who will adore this, however many so called ‘cinephiles’ will despise it. We cannot wait to see this as we adore the Korean filmmaker’s work, this looks chaotic. He loves to push humanity into the impossible to survive another day. I mentioned ‘gross’ earlier that was not an negative, the infected look even more disgusting than previously and this looks nuts!

The cast for this one includes Gianna Jun, Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hyun-been, Kim Shin-rock, Go Soo.
Synopsis | Professor Se Jeong, attends a biotech conference-only to witness it spiral into catastrophe when a rapidly mutating virus is unleashed. As the outbreak spreads and the infected begin to transform, authorities seal off the entire facility.
Colony will be released in the UK and Irish cinemas from 28th August. The film will also get a North American release the same day from Well Go USA.
