Family Is Fun In Second Trailer For James L. Brooks’ Ella McCay

20th Century Studios released a second UK trailer for James L. Brooks’ Ella McCay, which, despite the humour, headaches and heart, the family are toxic.

Emma Mackey plays our titular character, Ella, with Jamie Lee Curtis as her alcoholic mother. Ella McCay is all about Ella, a young woman stepping into a role as a governor.  As she attempts to cope with the pressures of the role, she has to juggle the madness of her family.

15 years after Brooks’ previous film, How Do You Know, the veteran filmmaker returns. He seemed to have issues with families in he 2010 film; this issue continues in this one. We do hope the laughs will be plentiful and the wait will be worth it!

The film’s cast also includes stars Jack Lowden, Kumail Nanjiani, Ayo Edebiri, Spike Fearn, Rebecca Hall, Julie Kavner, Becky Ann Baker, Joey Brooks, Albert Brooks and Woody Harrelson.
