The Rock Layeth The Smacketh On Drug Dealers In Trailer For Snitch
What would you do if your son who is imprisoned accused of Drug smuggling how far would you go to free your son who is willing to uncover some of those responsible? Would you go undercover as an informant to expose the cartel responsible for the whole mess? Well in Snitch Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson plays a father who did and tonight we have the new trailer from Snitch and guess what it’s a true story, apparently!
Snitch tells the tale of a father (Johnson) whose teenage son is accused of been involved in drug smuggling who refuses to rat on those responsible. With a 10 year stint inside hanging over him, his father takes things into his own hands and agrees a deal with the attorney (Susan Sarandon) to go undercover to take out the people responsible but can he do enough to save his boy without blowing his own cover?
Snitch looks like the a typical film we expect The Rock to appear in, generic but also fun film at the same time. This does look an enjoyable romp which I’m sure will give The Rock a chance to take some of the bad guys on a trip to ‘Smackdown Hotel’, we may even see the ‘The People’s elbow’ ?! Cheesefest Romp or a film with a message but hey kids just like the cast from Grange Hill said once about drugs ‘Just Say No’! On a serious note 2013 is shaping up to be a busy year for Johnson with G.I Joe Retaliation, Fast And Furious 6, Pain&Gain all coming, Snitch should please fans of the wrestler come actor warm them up for the bigger films.
Snitch doesn’t have a UK&Irish release date yet, however American cinephiles can catch this one on 22nd February 2013. Snitch also stars Michael Kenneth Williams, Barry Pepper, Harold Perrineau.
