Today the haunting post apocylptic movie written by Cormac MaCarthy THE ROAD finally gets released in USA (UK&Ireland Jan8th).

Its a movie which has had its ups and downs and Im sure everyone with a conenection with the movie world will be glad that we can finally watch the movie on the big screen. Thanks to First Showing here is a video interview with John Hillcoat the Australian director of the movie whom First Showing caught up with at a recent screening of the movie at the Telluride Festival in USA.

They cover everything from adapting the bleak novel to the screen, castings, explanations of certain topics, enough story to keep any fan of the book very happy and its also 15 minutes long!The Road is out today in USA and Jan 8th 2010 in UK & Ireland
