Happy New Year all! First day of the new year and what perfect time to share with you, our writers Top Films of 2023.

No bones about it, us cinephiles love sharing what films we loved, what films we loathed also everything in between. You don’t need anyone to tell you film is divisive, we’ll never always share the same opinion. That’s what we love here at The Peoples Movies the diverse opinions, at the same time no matter how you present it, not everyone will agree you.

The biggest argument every year, “was the year that’s just ended better than the year before?“. So was 2023 better than 2022? Below is a link to the 2022 list, why not check it out  and compare it with 2023 Top Films list.

In 2023, Cinema, streaming services and Digital releases have become even closer. It’s coming a coming acceptance a film may first be released on the big screen before a few weeks later arriving on a streaming service. Other times cinema and digital release at the same time.

Our writers are from all around the world. Some of the releases may have not been released in the UK yet, it has been released elsewhere. The majority of the releases where released in the UK and Ireland in 2023 be it cinema, film festivals, streaming services or digital.
