The Irregulars (2021)

What if the world Sherlock Holmes is set in was given a ‘dark and supernatural’ twist? If that wets you curiosities, Netflix’s upcoming Young Adult horror drama series The Irregulars will have you drowning in delight.

Today Netflix released the official Teaser Trailer for the series. Of course we find ourselves is Victorian London and a group of troubled misfits who live on Baker street. They solve gruesome horrible crimes coaxed into by a sinister Doctor Watson and mysterious acquaintance (Sherlock Holmes). These are no ordinary crimes!

If Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was alive, we’re sure he would be intrigued with this twist on his classic story. We’ve seen over the decades many films and shows making the same world a cold, dark, terrifying place. Whilst it may have a certain targeted audience this looks it won’t hold back on the violence which will give it a wider appeal.

The series will be released as eight episodes.

Set in Victorian London, the series follows a gang of troubled street teens who are manipulated into solving crimes for the sinister Doctor Watson and his mysterious business partner, the elusive Sherlock Holmes. As the crimes take on a horrifying supernatural edge and a dark power emerges, it’ll be up to the Irregulars to come together to save not only London but the entire world.

The cast includes Thaddea Graham (Letter For The King, Us) as Bea; Darci Shaw (Judy, The Bay) as Jessie; Jojo Macari (Sex Education) as Billy; Mckell David (Snatch) as Spike and Harrison Osterfield (Catch 22) as Leopold; Henry Lloyd-Hughes (Killing Eve) as Sherlock Holmes; Royce Pierreson (Judy, The Witcher) as John Watson and Clarke Peters (His Dark Materials) as The Linen Man.

The Irregulars Season One will be released globally by Netflix from 26th March.
