Teased For A Teaser Evil Dead Trailer Coming Tomorrow

There was a time when film fans got teased about upcoming films it was by the official trailer, a poster maybe a few images and if they where big enough maybe endorse a few products. Times have changed and as marketing promotion become even more vital but as studios become aware of promotion you have to say some of the methods are just simply gimmickry like the latest craze of a teaser for a teaser trailer! After the past few days been teased not once but twice by Iron Man 3 with the full trailer arriving today and tonight it’s the teaser for the classic horror Evil Dead which is getting it’s 21st century makeover.

Compared to the previous teasers of other film trailers I would go as far as calling this a teaser as it’s combining shots from the recent New York Comic Con panel with the man himself the horror legend Bruce Campbell who endorses the new version. Along with the icon we had Jane Levy who says she was terrified  when she saw it “I swear to god, I’m so scared right now.  I’m not kidding, that just freaked me out.” Then she was joined by  the director Fede Alvarez who said do you to wanna remake the Evil Dead for me?” You go like “no thank you, I don’t believe in remakes.” In between those quotes we had some quick peeks at the trailer and footage suggests it does pay homage to the original but Alvarez no remakes so what has he got in store for us?

All will be revealed April 12th, 2013 with the trailer coming tomorrow from IGN, Evil Dead 2.0 stars Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas, and Elizabeth Blackmore.Check back tomorrow here at The People’s Movies!

In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.
