Look Up! The Second Trailer For James Gunn’s Superman Is Here!
Warner Bros Pictures has today unveiled the brand new trailer for their summer blockbuster Superman, which you can watch below!
Written and directed by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy Trilogy), the film stars David Corenswet (Twisters) as The Man of Steel alongside Rachel Brosnahan (The Amateur), Nicholas Hoult (Nosferatu), Nathan Fillion (Slither), Isabela Mercad (The Last of Us), Edi Gathegi (The Harder They Fall), Anthony Carrigan (Death of a Unicorn) and Wendell Pierce (Thunderbolts*).
Skyler Gisondo, Pruitt Taylor Vance, Neva Howell and Sara Sampaio also star, with Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon) set to make her first appearance as Supergirl in the film and Bradley Cooper (Guardians of the Galaxy) rumoured to portray Superman’s father, Jor-El, although that is still not officially confirmed.
It will be part of DC Universe’s first phase, Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.
As for the film, it will reportedly show “Superman as he looks to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.”
Earlier this month, Warner Bros executives said they had seen the film and that it was great, with chairperson Michael De Luca praising James Gunn, saying, “We’ve seen an early cut of ‘Superman,’ and I don’t want to bury the lede, there’s a lot of marketing about to roll out ahead of its release, but [Gunn] really understood the assignment… His heart’s in the right place, his aim is true, and we’re really excited about their new version of DC.”

Superman opens in cinemas on July 11th.
