Three Stories Inside a Rental Van

What is right and what is wrong, two questions humanity face in living every day. Some of those decisions might silly little things, others a little more serious. In this week’s Sunday Short Theatre choice, Three Stories Inside A Rental Van, God is not the witness you ARE!

The comedy short comes from Melbourne based filmmaker Lewis Attey. His body of work is in short films and music videos and his latest film, the viewers of his film are the witness. As a slew of immoral acts ask you for an reaction.

This film is a 15 minute short that follows a young labourer backs into a parked car. Two international students watch a group of kids make a small bomb. And a man attempts to dump a load of rubbish on the side of the road.

It’s not easy to deliver what you want from a film that’s minutes long, this film consists of a trio of films. heavyย  littering, small end traffic offences and misguided teenage pranks in in the surroundings of the van. We may only be observing, will you want to distance yourself or simply enjoy the ride and laugh? If vehicles had eyes, you maybe amazed to see what actually goes on around it!

Three Stories Inside A Rental Van presents three vignettes, each set inside the same rental van, and each exploring the morality of the different characters who hire it. Each story is filmed in a single shot, without edit points and the camera never leaves the interior of the van.

The cast for this film stars Will Freeman, Bridgid Gallacher, Anni Finsterer and Georgina Baveas.
