Sunday Short Theatre – Body Of The Mined (2021)

Body Of The Mined (2021)

This weeks Sunday Short Theatre could leave you with one of those “What if…” scenarios if you got your hands on the machine in question. Eric Jungmann‘s Body Of The Mined finds us in a violent world, theft is rife how can you keep things hidden? Or is this a film about identity or even sacrifice?

Jungmann’s 15 minute sci-fi short is his his directorial debut. After 20 plus years acting, like many actors the next stage of their career is to experience behind the camera.  Eric is certainly a hands on filmmaker, with not settling with just directing, also starring, he’s been involved in every stage from crowdfunding to post production.

The Body Of The Mined synopsis finds us in a  world an reclusive  engineer finds himself on the brink of a powerful invention. Bizarre machine that could transfer consciousness  between two people, however things change when thieves attempt to break in. Things are interrupted which leads to him face his ultimate test.

The question you left with, who is the true villain of this film? The evidence says it’s the reclusive engineer, this is a film we do see also through other peoples eyes. Profiling people, judging them to see for some people is too easy however we do know humanity is complex. Never judge someone from face value, sometimes there’s a lot more going on in the inside.

Eric Jungmann‘s film is immersive film that is equally compelling, tense that  deserves a full feature.

A quiet, young woman moves into a new building and meets a reclusive engineer at the brink of completing a bizarre, extraordinary machine.

Body Of The Mined stars the director himself Eric Jungmann, Kelli Garner and Leslie Easterbrook.
