‘Something Better Awaits’ In The Dog Stars New Trailer
When times are grim at the end of the world, things can only get better. In the second UK Trailer for The Dog Stars, Jacob Elordi is hoping for ‘something better awaits‘.
At end of the world no one survives alone and in Sir Ridley Scott‘s sci-fi thriller, it’s those survivors you need to be careful with. What humanity we knew before the apocalyptic event that changed the world has gone. The Dog Stars follows Hig (Elordi) a pilot who who steps out of his isolation to track down a mysterious radio transmission. What awaits them is marauding survivors, what ‘better life’ awaits them if they pull through?
The film is based on Petter Heller‘s book of the same name and it looks bleak. Teasing something of a ‘pandemic’ rather than some war related apocalypse causing the breakdown. Like every challenge in life, hope guides us and ‘hope’ the dog survives!
The rest of the cast for this one includes Josh Brolin, Margaret Qualley, Guy Pearce, Benedict Wong, and Allison Janney.
Synopsis | “The film tells the story of Hig, a young pilot who, together with a military survivalist, Bangley, has carved out an efficient but isolated homestead in a brutal post-apocalyptic world until a mysterious radio transmission spurs Hig to venture into the unknown in search of the hope and humanity he still believes exists.”
The Dog Stars will now be released in UK, Irish cinemas on the slightly earlier date of 26th August (28th in the U.S).
