Next year Those blue creatures will leave the land of living back to animated land with The Smurfs:Lost Village . Today Sony Pictures animation have sent us a second UK Trailer which looks to set to explore their origins, but what lies behind the forbidden forest?
magical creatures, hidden secrets and of course Gargamel The Smurfs back in animation might that ‘magic’ they need to get the franchise back on track? Will the long-suffering fans finally get the animated feature they deserve?
In this fully animated, all-new take on the Smurfs, a mysterious map sets Smurfette and her best friends Brainy, Clumsy and Hefty on an exciting and thrilling race through the Forbidden Forest filled with magical creatures to find a mysterious lost village before the evil wizard Gargamel does. Embarking on a rollercoaster journey full of action and danger, the Smurfs are on a course that leads to the discovery of the biggest secret in Smurf history!
The kids will love this one, it’s colourful, bright and the jokes sound cutesy too and if you really missed those jokesI’m sure they’ll be a few fart jokes too. It’s mostly all male smurfs and we can guess the ‘secret’ is the lost village, will it be one of all female smurfettes? Highly likely as this trailer has a lot of focus on the movies only resident smurfette.
The live action movies may not have been showered with critical success but like anything go back to their roots and start again is a wise move.
The Smurfs: Lost Village is set for 31st March 2017 release date in UK&Ireland and will star the voices of Demi Lovato (Smurfette),Rainn Wilson (Gargamel),Joe Manganiello (Hefty),Jack McBrayer (Clumsy),Danny Pudi (Brainy)with Mandy Patinkin (Papa Smurf).
