Showtime Releases Official Our Cartoon President Trailer

Showtime has released the official trailer for their new ten-part animated series Our Cartoon President, which is executive produced by award-winning talkshow host Stephen Colbert, Chris Licht (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert) and R.J. Fried (The Late Show With David Letterman).

Here’s the synopsis for the show via Showtime:

From executive producer Stephen Colbert comes this hilarious look into the Trump presidency, animation style. Starring two-dimensional avatars of Donald Trump and his merry band of insiders and family members, this cutting-edge comedy presents the truish adventures of Trump, his confidants and bon vivants. It’s a workplace comedy where the office is oval, a character study in search of character, and a timely political send-up of our always-colorful forty-fifth president and his family. Trust us, it’s yuge, and you’re going to laugh bigly.

I’m looking forward to watching the show having seen and enjoyed Colbert’s previous sketches with Cartoon Trump on his talkshow, so expect a review from me when the series airs!

The first episode of Our Cartoon President will premiere online on January 28th and on Showtime on February 11th,  less than two weeks after Trump’s State of the Union address.
