If you follow short films online you may know how good this is, if you haven’t Short Sunday Theatre film of the week is The OceanMaker. ย A world where the seas have disappeared and the only source of the water is from the clouds but there is one small matter…Pirates

After the seas have disappeared, a courageous young female pilot fights against vicious sky pirates for control of the last remaining source of water: the clouds.

There is very few animations that will grab the attention of the general public like The OceanMaker and when they come along we have to grab the rare chance to admire them. What we love about this one is this is a product of one of the crowd-funding sites indiegogo and the labour of love for Lucas Martell, Christina Martell. It was a simple idea of 2 planes flying at each other and boom with help of the tropical surroundings of Belize and a help of a few friends and as you’ll see the outcome.

For animation it has fantastic cinematography which has gorgeous feel to it and if you love those old war films, the plane dogfights will have your mouth water too. It’s been a long few year but thanks to the collaboration of friends, extensive film festival footage you can now admire The OceanMaker in it’s full glory.
